Sandpiper Elementary School is an “A” school based on the State of Florida School Grading. It is a traditional Title I school located on North Hiatus Road in Sunrise, Florida in a residential neighborhood and is part of the Piper Innovation Zone. Sandpiper Elementary was established in 1989 to serve students in Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, including Special Programs, which serve students with Autism. Students participate in school clubs such as Art, Chess, Cheerleading, Dance, Debate, Honor Society, Men of Tomorrow, Women of the Future, and Chorus. We participate in Special Olympics and Peer Buddy programs to promote an inclusive community.
At Sandpiper Elementary, we will continue to work in cooperation with the community to provide academic and social experiences designed to develop our students as productive citizens for the future. As we begin each new and exciting year, we are mindful of our purpose in preparing our students for college and career readiness. We ask that you help us to instill this purpose in all of our children and encourage them to practice these skills each day.
